Newly Married Couples Have To Live With Their Parents

Most married couple do not like living with their parents, unless they have no choice. Usually, newly married couples live with their parents for a month or so. Many start living in their own house as soon as they get married. It happened to me, too. When I got married, my husband wanted me to live in his parents’ house. I insisted that we should move out and rent a house. It does not mean that I hate his parents. I just want to have a house, in which I can arrange anything according to what I think is right.

/> When you live with your parents, you have to adjust your situation to what has been determined by your parents and since you live with them, you have to watch your step and do something to please your parents in law. I remember having to wake up early to sweep the floor and clean other things. I did it because I didn’t want them to think that I
was such a lazy daughter in law. When I finished eating with them, I had to know what was next to be done. Luckily, I did not stay there for a long time as my husband already got a place to live in. We finally rented a house for 4 years till we bought a house that we have lived till now.

There are advantages and disadvantages of living with your parents in law. The advantages are probably parents can quickly help you when you are in need of help. This is very important when you first have a baby. It is your mother in law who teaches you how to bathe the baby and look after him. The disadvantages are that you cannot do as you want in the house. You have to adjust it to the conditions that suit your parents. Parents in law usually like to interfere with their children’s problem.
